Dr. Ernie Gardner

About our Doctor and Staff at Piedmont Orthodontic Associates

Dr. Gardner is in private practice specializing in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics for children and adults; and in Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction and Snoring/ Sleep Apnea Appliances.

  • Graduated from Wofford College with a B.S. Degree in biology.
  • Graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry with a D.D.S. Degree
  • Completed residency in orthodontics from Emory University School of Dentistry

    Dr. Gardner is a Diplomate in the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, local and state dental societies, and the Isothermal Dental Society. He has also been a member of Rotary International since 1987.

  • Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction
  • Centric Occlusion/Centric Relation
  • Invisalign Treatment

    Dr. Gardner and his staff are constantly involved in continuing education. Dr. Gardner completed additional studies in orthodontics at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Other topics of study include: Orthodontics and Orthognathic Surgery, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, Early Orthodontic Treatment, Adult Orthodontic Treatment, Invisalign, Non-extraction Treatment, Herbst Appliance Treatment, and Bioprogressive Treatment.

    Dr. Gardner has a wife, Cathy, and two sons, Jason and Jeff. He enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing, boating, and golf.
